Geotextiles
CETCO non-woven geotextiles are produced in state of the art production facilities and are needle-punch manufactured with chemically resistant polypropylene staple fiber to produce premium grade products.
Function
Non-woven, needle-punched geotextiles provide a cushioning layer to protect adjacent geosynthetics. Their uniform consistancy provides excellent filtration and drainage while their strength helps reinforce and separate layers. With this versatility in mind, it is easy to see why CETCO non-woven geotextiles are used in a wide variety of environmental applications.
Applications
In multiple component waste containment bottom liner systems or in cover and closure systems, non-woven geotextiles are utilized for puncture prevention of the geomembrane component, for separation of dissimilar soil, liner and aggregate materials, as a filter to minimize clogging of granular drainage materials, and as a component of a synthetic drainage system.
In some cases, non-woven geotextiles can be installed below the barrier layer as a component of a multilayer gas venting system to prevent the accumulation of gas pressure.
Features and Benefits
- Wide range of products – permits economical performance driven product selection and specification.
- Chemically resistant polypropylene construction – provides long performance life in harsh environments.
- High interface shear strength against most surfaces – allows greater factors of safety than with granular drainage material in the most challenging of applications.
